Negotiations and Bargaining

            Our third collective bargaining agreement expires in August 2008.  Efforts are underway to commence negotiations for a successor contract.

            A very competent “2008” Negotiating Team (including alternates) has been appointed by our President.  This team is comprised of seasoned negotiators, union leaders and rank and file professors.

            There is no way to predict when a successor contract will be reached.  However, when a tentative agreement is obtained by your union negotiators, that agreement must be voted on and ratified by the membership.

            Our members own the Union and our contract.
